Committee Accuses Rep. Waters Of Ethics Violation

In another potential political headache for Democrats, the House Ethics Committee has charged Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., with violating congressional ethics rules. The committee claims that Waters used her position to set up a meeting between Treasury Department officials and representatives from the National Bankers Association to discuss OneUnited Bank, a minority-owned bank at which her husband had been a board member and a stockholder.
